A big part of the problem is the amount of people on here who are seriously underrating Burnley!

They’re ravaged by injuries in key areas right now but their work rate, discipline and organisation - along with the rub of the green - saw them get yet another three points and a clean sheet last night. Those are three areas that we are sadly lacking in right now.

Flappy is finished as a top keeper.

The Ajeti was pretty baffling.

Not seen to be good enough when we had no strikers in the team and were crying out for one.

Yet seen to be our saviour for us to get something against fucking BURNLEY.

Spot on.

And for those calling for masuaku, he is even worse than Cresswell.

Both are frauds as professional footballers.

Yet again (and this seems to be an annual thing) fullbacks is the key position to strengthen. I have no idea why Johnson isn't getting a go.

“He cant play up top. No way. Way to one footed. I dont think he should have started personally, I think Bowen is better on that right side.”

Yarmolenko plays up front for Ukraine and played there for Kiev, was actually quite prolific at Kiev too, before his injuries of course and negates this tracking back he obviously hates doing.

“they didnt need to win, have a great defensive record, Dyche has barely made any subs since the restart. You're not going to drag Burnleys defence around like that.”

They’ve made barely any subs because their squad is so ruined. That’s my issue, they did sit back and it required quicker ball movement to drag them out of position, Bowen was doing a good job of this, needed the rest to join in.

Pellegrini for his faults gave Silva and Johnson a chance. Exwhuemployee on his radio show says silva has been looking good in training so that’s even more baffling.

Given how tired both teams were at the end it’s not really about being a game changer, it’s the fresh legs aspect and saving those in the first 11 from potential injury. Silva for example, Bardsley probably would have hated a 23 year old running at him.

Wilshere gave glimpses in his brief moments too. He’s never going to get going if no minutes given either.

The squad may be unbalanced but certainly doesn’t do any favours not utilising the squad when games are coming thick and fast during this unprecedented period

Fabianski’s kicking especially has been horrendous since he come back from his last injury. We desperately need the keeper of last season to reappear.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley- Official Match Thread
It’s very West Ham that we have to think of ‘hiding’ players out of position because they are incapable of or unwilling to work hard , track back or even run at a pace over ‘STROLL’.
And these aren’t players like CRonaldo who you might give a bit of leeway to , these are average players.
Shows yet another hole in our recruitment .... need young, hungry , athletic players

100% right that. Never seen such a one footed player before.

Anyone who thinks we played well, think again. We were dreadfull. kept giving the ball away.
Even worse second half. How Moyes didn't change it I give up.Only 1 sub up ntil the last 5 mins.
Pope didn't have to make any oustanding saves.Bulk standard. Soucek's effort was straight at him,he couldn't get out the way. If you look at what saves Fabianksi had he had the same amount.Pope would of saved Rodrigues goal. Fabianski flapped again. Pope is a better keeper.Playing at Burnley. He's the best English keeper currently. Can't see him staying at Burnley much longer.Would love him at WH but unless we get a better maanger, not a chance.

Last night was just the perfect snapshot of where we are right now: worse than fucking Burnley.
In need of competent fullbacks, still light on pace throughout and short of clinical finishers. All of which has been true for years.

"Yarmolenko is a good finisher but Moyes sticks him on the wing and expects him to track back "

He cant play up top. No way. Way to one footed. I dont think he should have started personally, I think Bowen is better on that right side.

"West Ham should have planned to tire Burnley out and utilise the extra fit men and play more passing football"

they didnt need to win, have a great defensive record, Dyche has barely made any subs since the restart. You're not going to drag Burnleys defence around like that. They sat back and did their job. Even then it was their keeper that saved them the most. So its not like we didnt have a go.

As for the subs, Moyes see's everyone in training and everyone on that bench has had a go this season bar the Silva and Johnson. No one has been really good or a game changer on that bench. No one.

We miss snodgrass really. Thats it. The only one I can think of who isnt in the first 11 that makes a difference. Everyone else is shit or way too junior to be put in a relegation battle.

If there is one thing that Moyes seems to be good at (even if its the only thing!) is pushing young players through and I really dont think your going to see anyone in that squad come on the pitch and be some revelation. If he hasnt spotted somone like that yet then you know there isnt any one there.

Look at Ajeti. He cant make it in the first 11 even if Haller is injured! We'd rather put Antonio or some might think Yarma as a no.9. Its because our squad is unblanced and shit.

Pellegrini spunked all our dough on creatuve midfielders, Bilic on creative wingers and nothing was ever done about our fullbacks or our central midfielders.

And for some strange reason we like spending crazy money on no.9's who cant do 100m in under 30 seconds! WTF is that about really? First Caroll and now Haller... why? its the PL ffs. How many slow as fuck strikers are leading the line here?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley- Official Match Thread
With no sign of Silva on the bench,we must assume Moyes prefers Ajeti. Silva must really be impressing everyone on the training ground...

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley- Official Match Thread
Regarding the current five substitutes rule, we should be utilising this to the max. It allows us to completely refresh half of the outfield players if needed and, on paper, we’ve got enough quality in the squad to do that.

Either Moyes doesn’t trust the squad depth enough or he’s thick as shit. Probably a combo of the two. We have far too many players nicking a living.

Someone also needs to remind Cresswell that he’s a footballer.

The Nketia one for Arsenal was a red but understandable as he was stretching for a ball between them while they were both moving.
Tarkowski’s had both players fairly static and he has put his studs into Bowen’s thigh with the ball on the ground and miles away.
Clear and obvious red

Have given up expected anything than being cheated by VAR
Since restart in 5 games :
Davison Sanchez handball v Spurs
Souceks goal v Chelsea
Tarkowskis tackle v Burnley

Beyond a joke
